Master 500gt / 3000gt
This course offers Masters modules required by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for advancement to the position of Master with either a 500 gross tonnage (gt) or 3000 gross tonnage (gt) certification.

Course Information
We are able to offer the following Masters modules which are required by the MCA for progression to Master 500gt or 3000gt.
- Advanced Navigation and Radar (10 days)
- Seamanship and Meteorology (5 days)
- Masters Celestial (5 days)
- Business and law (5 days)
- Stability (5 days)
Apart from the Masters Celestial module, which takes place in Hout Bay, the other modules are all conducted at the lecture facilities at SAMTRA (South African Maritime Training Academy) in Simons Town.
These modules are conducted by lecturers with a vast amount of experience and understanding of the subject matter and examination requirements, thereby giving you the best opportunity to pass these modules.
