These Terms and Conditions govern your use of https://www.naviteach.co.za/ or https://www.pytcape.co.za and your enrolment in any course offered by PYT Cape / Naviteach. By accessing our website or enrolling in a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before enrolling.

Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or submitting an enrolment application, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use our website or enrol in our courses.

Our Courses and Certification

PYT Cape provides maritime training courses designed to prepare students for various maritime qualifications, including qualifications relevant to working on superyachts. Where applicable, our courses lead to certification that is regulated by the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA), a South African government agency responsible for maritime safety, including vessel safety audits, certification and inspections.

Our role is limited to providing training and, where applicable, facilitating the issue of a SAMSA regulated certificate on successful completion of the relevant course. We do not issue certification ourselves in respect of qualifications that fall under SAMSA’s regulatory authority, and any such certification remains subject to SAMSA’s own requirements and approval.

No Guarantee of Employment

PYT Cape provides training and certification only. We do not guarantee that any student will find employment on a superyacht or in any other maritime role, whether during or after completing a course with us. Employment in the superyacht and wider maritime industry depends on many factors outside our control, including the employer’s own requirements, the state of the job market, an individual’s experience, references, conduct and personal circumstances.

Any information we provide about career prospects, potential earnings or job placement assistance is given as general guidance only and does not constitute a promise or guarantee of employment. Students are responsible for their own job search and employment outcomes.

Enrolment and Fees

Enrolment in a course is subject to availability and, where applicable, meeting any minimum age, medical or other eligibility requirements for that course. Course fees, payment terms and any deposit requirements will be communicated to you at the time of enrolment. Fees must be paid in accordance with the payment terms provided, and we reserve the right to withhold certification or course materials until outstanding fees have been settled.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms will be provided to you at the time of booking and may vary depending on the course and how far in advance you cancel. Where a course is cancelled or postponed by PYT Cape, we will offer you the choice of a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date.

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and safely at all times while attending training, including complying with any health and safety instructions given by instructors. PYT Cape reserves the right to remove a student from a course, without refund, where their conduct poses a risk to themselves, other students or staff, or seriously disrupts the training environment.
